A FOMO-cycle of an unprecedented magnitude. An event never before seen in history. An event which will render every other currency mostly useless. It sounds far fetched, but there is a chance that the next Bitcoin bullrun is the tipping point.

Bitcoin is the first hyperdeflation in history. We are injecting trust into a currency regulated by an algorithm, because we have not had the best track record with currencies regulated by men.

In this article I provide economic arguments for why Monero is probably the most fungible currency in history. I compare it to seashells, beads, fiat, cigarettes in POW camps during WWII, bitcoin & Zcash.

Fun fact, in 2017 we experienced the largest percentage increase in price during a bubble in bitcoins history, yet volatility was historically low. In 2 years we will have similar volatility levels as Gold, in 4 years we will have similar volatility levels as other major currencies.

History time! Watch this paroday video of a Bitcoin supporter from 2014. Notice the rhetoric from back then - "instantaneous payments!"... "currency is just the first application of the Bitcoin network!" BCHers still saying that, and doing it. Witness memo.cash etc

Settle a debate: Is Bitcoin the most traceable currency to exist in the known history of man?

I was having a discussion with a friend about the many benefits bitcoin has because of it's public blockchain that results in high traceability. For instance, It can easily show the income and spending habits of a person, which will be used to help them get loans or determine how well they are doing as a member of society. Plus another benefit is to help to stop money laundering, and other crimes. Its traceable nature can help to improve tax collection, and over all reveal more about the general economy, and human behavior: both on a grand and on a personal level - allowing economists, law enforcement, and other keepers of our society to design and enforce laws more effectively.
Anyway, my friend disagrees that bitcoin isn't the most traceable currency. He thinks USD is, despite the fact that cash doesn't have the records of transactions (or even history of moving to a different wallet) like bitcoin does.
What am I missing here? What might be more traceable then bitcoin? That also seems like a good asset to hold if the goal is to help society progress and become more loyal to our central planners.
